Our story
Ashley is the founder and head trainer at Luna Performance and Personal Training.Certificate III & IV in Fitness
Pregnancy & Postpartum Exercise specialist
Qualified Inclusive personal trainer for individuals with a disability.AFL-specific training experience
As a former WAFL player, qualified youth worker and busy dad, I’ve come to know a thing or two about health and fitness, and the challenges of staying active with a busy schedule.

Luna Performance and Personal Training was created after the birth of my second daughter, as I recognised the challenges my wife faced to resume her own fitness journey. LUNA is named after both my daughters; I wanted to create a space that was welcoming to parents and kids and offer services that fit the busy lifestyle of a parent. I love having my girls playing around while I exercise and wanted to offer the same opportunity to others in a similar situation.

Ashley is a personal trainer based in Perth, Western Australia, who specializes in pregnancy and postpartum fitness. His dedication to this field was inspired by observing his wife's challenges in resuming training after the birth of their two daughters. This experience motivated him to support other women navigating similar journeys.

After completing the PregActive Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Course, Ashley found the follow-along exercise videos, particularly those focusing on core strength, to be especially beneficial. The course also deepened his understanding of postpartum conditions such as diastasis recti and prolapse, enhancing his ability to assist clients effectively.

With his certification, Ashley aims to help women initiate or return to exercise during their postpartum period. He emphasizes the importance of personalized programs tailored to each client's starting point and goals, advocating for a gradual and individualized approach to rebuilding strength and confidence.

Ashley encourages fellow male personal trainers to pursue education in prenatal and postpartum fitness, highlighting the value of understanding and supporting the health and fitness goals of pregnant women and new mothers.
